Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Diners rave about the outstanding Sunday roasts, particularly the succulent roast chicken and beef, which some call the "best roast in the area." The atmosphere of the bistro also garners high praise — guests enjoy a casual, cosy environment that’s perfect for family meals or quick lunches. The coffee and dessert offerings are crowd favorites, especially the warm chocolate fudge cake. Many appreciate the friendly, attentive staff who make the dining experience even more enjoyable. The bistro's commitment to using fresh ingredients and cooking meals to order elevates the dining experience, making it a go-to spot for many.

Most Disliked

While Roast at the Watchfactory is generally well-received, some patrons have noted occasional wait times during peak hours, especially on Sundays. A few diners wish for extended hours to accommodate their hectic schedules, pointing out that the bistro closes at 4 PM on weekdays; this can limit those who work late. Additionally, although the menu offers a delightful variety, some guests desire more vegetarian or vegan options to impress diverse palates. A handful of visitors have mentioned that certain dishes can be slightly inconsistent in presentation. However, these minor criticisms do not overshadow the overall positive experiences shared by most diners.

Fantastic service, having called in for a breakfast on a day they weren't serving them - they did us one anyway ! Great value, happy to add them to my "go to" rota for local food. Not quite as polished as the Station House who previously ran the Watch Factory (coffee was instant, not sure which blend), and tea comes as teabags rather than loose leaf in a pot, but definitely no complaints given the price :-)

A home cooked Sunday dinner as good as it gets. Fresh vegetables and perfect roast potatoes and tasty meats. Won't be long before I am back. Highly recommended.
